Meet Our Staff
Dr. Cedric Stewart, DC
Dr. Cedric Stewart started The Function Chiropractic and Wellness 2021 on a leap of faith. He is a graduate of Adams State University where he studied Sociology and Psychology. He received his Doctorate from Life Chiropractic College West in 2018. He serves as a full time professor at Life West where he enjoys teaching and loves sharing the profession.
Dr. Cedric knew chiropractic was his calling “when I played college football I was searching for low back pain relief and nothing seemed to help. I was convinced to see a chiropractor, and my stress seemed to fade away with every visit.. That day back in the summer of 2013 I realized that being a Chiropractic and helping people was what I was meant to do. ”
He, says the best thing about being in the chiropractic field is, “giving, loving, and serving with abundance to all his patients.” His passion is facilitating and empowering a healthy lifestyle in the Bay Area community.
Dr. Cedric enjoys living in the Bay Area with his beautiful wife and their three young daughters. He enjoys sports, cooking, music, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Vinson Lieu, D.C.
In July 2022, Dr. Vinson Lieu assumed ownership of The Function Chiropractic and Wellness. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Oakland, California. He graduated from Life Chiropractic College West in June 2022 and started as an intern at the clinic in March 2022. Dr. Lieu’s favorite thing about chiropractic is helping people feel better compared to when they first came in. He knew he was in the right profession after successfully treating a patient with chronic neck and low back pain, and constant headaches, who had been written off by other specialists. Dr. Lieu is passionate about assisting people in living their lives to the fullest and not limiting their options. He comes from a family of medical professionals, and his parents run a nonprofit to help underprivileged youths learn Chinese. Despite their differences, they all have a passion for helping people reach their full potential.

Dr. Jill Keefer, DC, CMT
Rooted in faith, Dr. Jill holds space for healing knowing that the one who made the body heals the body. She received a bachelors of science in exercise science from Seattle Pacific University, has been trained in chiropractic techniques and massage therapy from National Holistic Institute in San Jose, the School of Massage in San Francisco, and Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward. She offers a gentle and specific touch to help release deep internal restrictions so you may function at a higher capacity.
In order to help the community heal, Dr. Jill offers no-cost services. She operates 100% on donations and financial gifts from the community. This initiative is to help bring care to those with financial difficulties. Donations and gifts are not tax-deductible, we hope you will still consider making a donation to support this community project

Dr. Rebekah Boron-Trotter, DC
Dr. Rebekah Boron-Trotter received her Doctorate from Life Chiropractic College West and her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from California State University Monterey Bay. Dr. Rebekah takes a holistic approach to chiropractic. She believes there are different ways to treat conditions of the body other than medication or surgery. Having experience in both private and corporate practice cultivated her experience in treating a wide range of ailments and helped develop valuable clinical skills. From geriatric patients and athletes, to growing teens, she has treated a diverse population that reflects Hayward and Palo Alto’s community. Dr. Rebekah provides a full spine diversified approach and specializes in the drop table method, activator protocol, and extremity work.
One of the best moments of her career was attending a service trip that provided free Chiropractic care to the underprivileged communities in Mexico City. Her goal with her patients is to be able to improve the quality of their life and leave them feeling better than when they came in. She believes that every patient has a unique story to tell and playing a positive part in their recovery process makes the job worth it.
In her free time, Dr. Rebekah enjoys the cultural diversity, endless options for places to eat, and the different activities the Bay Area has to offer. She also enjoys traveling, binge watching new TV shows, and spending time with her friends, family, and of course, her beloved rabbit Bella.
Angel, Massage Therapist
Angel has been practicing massage since 1999, specializing in Deep Tissue and Hawaiian Lomi Lomi techniques. She employs multiple modalities in her sessions to promote both muscular healing and emotional wellness for her clients. Angel firmly believes that the body retains the impact of our past experiences and aims to provide immediate relief while also equipping clients with tools to manage environmental, emotional, and physical stress in the future. She finds joy in contributing to the healing journey of her clients.

Sneha, Shanti Healing Massage Therapist
Sneha specializes in Shanti Healing, a personalized therapeutic approach that tailors each session to the unique needs of her clients, enhanced with the use of essential oils and hot stones. However, for those seeking a gentle, relaxing experience with light pressure, her services may not be the ideal fit. Her focus is on therapeutic massage, aimed at alleviating pain, reducing stress, and addressing specific issues. Throughout each session, she employs a variety of techniques to target problem areas, which could potentially result in muscle soreness as she works to open and lengthen muscle groups.
